Well, I’ve decides to introduce this little “Music of the week” section. Each week I well select one song that I particullarly like and I will post it here, along with information like who did it and maybe a VideoClip if available.

This week I present the song “Say Hello” from the group Deep Dish

It is from the group Deep Dish, a group of two yong men doing music together (until some time ago when they split up, but not before they were rated 11th on the top 100 DJ). Their style is House/Techno but I would classify some of their music as Trance. But its all good.

Whats happening with Windows?

Windows XP LogoAs we all know some people like Windows Vista, some don’t. Vista at its launch had many major problems, such as targeting higher system requirements that some people couldn’t afford, lack of compatibility with several key pre-vista software and permission restriction that hardly did its job at all. All these reasons and more contributed to Vista’s temporary “downfall”. Later Service Pack 1 was released (February 4th) which solved much bug but still left some areas of Vista undesirable.

This is why some of us still hangs with XP. It is more enjoyable and workable than Vista and have less issues. It is also faster due to low system requirements and an architecture that everyone is familiar with. BUT the end of XP was due soon, and here it is. As of today June 30 Windows XP will not be pre-loaded on sold machines and will not be sold in retail stores. Windows XP Professional thought will be given with the purchase of Vista Business or Vista Ultimate as part of the “Downgrade Rights”. XP will continue to be updated until April 2014. Lets hope that Microsoft will see to it that Vista gets as stable as XP.

Windows 7

The next installment of the popular OS will be Windows 7. Microsoft announced that it will be “modular”. Let me explain: you buy the core of the OS, then you buy other pieces that adds functions to your computer. If I want to make audio edition, I will buy the core AND the audio suite of Windows. Due to this we expect the prices to be lower because you won’t have to buy modules that are not useful for you. Bill Gates said that Windows 7 will also focus on performance improvement

“We’re hard at work, I would say, on the next version, which we call Windows 7. I’m very excited about the work being done there. The ability to be lower power, take less memory, be more efficient, and have lots more connections up to the mobile phone, so those scenarios connect up well to make it a great platform for the best gaming that can be done, to connect up to the thing being done out on the Internet, so that, for example, if you have two personal computers, that your files automatically are synchronized between them, and so you don’t have a lot of work to move that data back and forth.”

That said, we can expect promises from Microsoft right away. “Windows 7 will be in all points more productive than Vista” – “The change from Vista to 7 will not be drastic” – ” No bugs will be present”. And so on. Only Jesus can make those kind of promises and he’s not working for Microsoft at the moment.

Spain wins the Euro cup after 44 years of waiting.

Fernando Torres celebrates ! He just scored the winning goal.Rejoice my fellow Spaniards. For you won the Euro Cup against Germany ! What a match it has been. A very tough challenge awaited Spain, for Germany won the cup three time already. Spain in fact was the second country to ever win the cup. Right after the Soviet Union in 1960, Spain won the cup in 1964 and had to wait another 44 years to hold it again. Fernando Torres is the one who scored the only and winning goal of the match. Until then, he never scored during an Euro match. But now that he did helped his team win the cup I expect that he is still partying and will be for quite some time. Like the germans said, they had a good team but they were no match for Spain’s team. The captain of the German team said: “We had a great tournament, but made one mistake too many,” Ballack said. “We were lacking of power against a great Spanish team. We couldn’t keep up with them.” Lets hope they get better. Because in 2012 I want to see how the germans will do against Spain this time.

Diablo III -Under Devellopment-

Diablo Possible CoverYet another installement for the popular serie that made several people look to the Devil for answers. And its news is still hot off the presses. In fact it has been announced at the Paris’s Blizzard Invitational a few days ago. And the world is still shaken by this news. Whats will be the outcome? Will it quench our thirst for hack n’ slash? Lots of questions appear and the answers are not yet published. We can only draw faint conclusions. Such as the classes we will be able to play. For now we have only been revealed that both Barbarian and Which doctor will be part of the party. But im pretty sure that a complete list will be available long before the game goes gold. This set me thinking. If they only announced two classes yet it might be because they don’t even know yet what the other will be. That or they are ashamed to say. Who knows, they might have Clown class or even Game Dev (only accesible after passing the game throught “Hell” difficulty”). But I’ll let them decide that. Apart from the classes, what were we promised? A new UI, one that will NOT be customizable with mods like in WoW. A less prevalent precence of potions, due the heavier use of skills and health globes that drops after you killed monsters. As always the releashe date is the same for every blizzard game. “When its ready”. I can tell you that I myself was never a huge fan of Diablo games. I have barely played the first and never the second. So I can say that I do not expect this game to be in my top5 games “To Buy ASAP”. But I definitely plan on buying it one day or another. Its not that I don’t like the style of the tame. Hacking ‘n slashing have been my favorite sport at one point (play Titan Quest and you will know what Im talking about) but I do not like the kind of inflexibility that these games offer. You get a sword, potions. And you bash in. No need of heavy thinking or stealth or devising infamous plans to get pass this *kinda-heavily-guarded* bridge. Being a thinker, I like to get the *feel* of a situation before I try to resolve it. In this game, you just give the numerous mobs a good shake of your sword and they fall. Well, what can I do about it… Probably go and buy older Diablo’s to get the urge to buy this upcoming title.

The first of many. (Well, it should be…)

Wow, this is actually my first post. Feels good. Let me first explain what the hell im doing here. I am a bored student on vacation. I have nothing to do all day, well this is not really true. I work the week and go out with friends the weekend. BUT apart from that im doing othing. So I have gaps to fill. Lots of them too. So I figuered that I could make a blog about stuff that are happening. I mean, why not? Im a funny person and Im here to joke about things. And I hope to fill the bill accordingly. So im just taking up on some random subjects and commenting about it. Im a computer guy and I play games so you might find something interesting in my blog after all if you are a gamer. If not well, don’t you worry because I plan to discuss about a lot of other things as well.

Well, for now. Tristan out
